Young Bun
Thought I'd ask the experts
I've read conflicting things:?
Bunny is in rude health and after a tricky start has now settled very well and has even started to respond like running over for strokes/treats when she sees you if she's out freeranging and getting all excited( I assume) when you come to let her out of the hutch in the morning (bounces up and down ,makes snuffling noises :D) and will go in if you say 'hutch'.
She rarely growls now unless she thinks it's not bedtime  or you put her bowl/hay where she doesn't want it !
Opinions? Apart from the obvious benefits(plus side) I'm concerned about the GA given her age .

She can live up to 15 yrs old, so shes still got years left!!
Have her speyed,it lowers the risks of illness and you could also get her a friend!!!

I found a failry local vet that has in their blurb "specialists in rabbit and guinea pig care".
I'll give them a ring, see what they say.

My Cloud was 7+ :) Apparently she stopped breathing during surgery and had to be resuscitated but the vet said this was because of a reaction to the anhestetic (excuse my spelling!) rather than because of her age.

Oldest female we have had spayed was 7+ too - routinely do them couple of years under this age, as long as they are fit and well, as we have caught cancer out a fair few times now.
