Laying my own lino in the kitchen? Is this possible without experience?

All this talk of laying lino in hutches- i've got to do this for one of my 6x2x2 runs yet. Was wondering though. How difficult would it be to get a roll , measure it out and lay it in the kitchen? If it is difficult i'll just get a quote, but i'm really getting into diy at the moment. Don't know if this is something you can DIY?

Thanks,

I managed to lay the lino in my big rabbit shed. :)

I roughly measured the lino and cut it slightly too big to start with and then cut it to size with a craft knife properly as I was laying it flat. It was pretty awkward but I think I done ok, there is only one gap between the lino and the wall where my knife slipped and I cut it a bit wonky.

(you can see the gap on the left there )

Hehe that looks excellent! Thanks for the pictures too. Did it cost much to buy the lino- I'm not sure how much i'd be looking at to do this kitchen.

Yes the gap is tiny- you've done a fantastic job. Did it take long?
Thanks,

It only cost me £30 to get my lino laid in the bunny room. The guy put it down with proper adhesive, i would have got it stuck all over the place if i had tried.

Wow thats cheap- i was thinking several hundred for some reason. That's why i was thinking diy and then spend the spare i cash i have on the buns.

The guy quoted me £45 for two rooms. Normally they charge £45 for one room but he said as it's two large ones rather than a tiny bathroom it's easier so he'd just charge one lot.
