As you know Hopper Haven was the lucky recipient of £79 from the July “Pledge a Pound” draw.
As promised, we’re offering you guys a chance to decide who will be sponsored for the next 12 months with the prize money…..
The rabbits below are healthy buns, who remained as residents at Hopper Haven due to their temperaments. They will have a home with us for the rest of their lives.
All these gorgeous bunsters are in need of sponsorship, so if anyone would like to sponsor the “losers” in the poll, let me know!
Sponsorship of a healthy bun is £5 per month to “feed and bed” them (£60 p.a).
The remaining £19 will cover a vet check and their vaccinations
Teasel (2.5 years, male,neutered)
Teasel is an angry bun with issues. He’s top banana, and don’t you go forgetting it!
Teasel became a resident last year after being found in a car park. He attacked the finders 2yr old child and so was passed onto someone who had lots of rabbit experience. Even they couldn’t tame the beast named Teasel, so he was handed in to Hopper Haven.
We’ve not worked out what makes Teasel such an angry man, but we continue to try and improve his life in the hope that one day he’ll realise that life ain’t so bad.
He has been given a wifey bun, Myrtle (who has previously beat up a few husbuns in the past), and they seem to understand each other. He has progressed from living in a hutch/run combo to an outdoor enclosure, and only last week was given an even bigger enclosure, yet he still remains mad!
He acts like a little angel and will run to greet you at the gate - BUT BEWARE!!!
People who foolishly fall for his initial charm will pay the price with a chunk of flesh - his favoured spot is around the ankles.
