Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Panacur liquid for rabbits...

Where can I get hold of this? I use the Panacur paste for Jimby as he will eat it disquised in food but Cookie is not having any of it so we are thinking of getting the liquid and injecting it in to some carrot or a bit of apple.

I expect you can get it from the vets, or where you got the paste from?

When I gave my rabbit panacur, it came in a syringe and I simply gave it to him like a syringe of liquid food or something and he took it fine. Have you tried that?

Yes we can not syringe it in to her, she gets very stressed and do not want to put her through that for 28 days.

What is the dose for rabbits on the cat and dog wormer?
The one that I put a link up for is that the same type of thing?

I'd like to know this too if you don't mind. What is the dosage for the cat and dog panacur? Which one is better? How do you give Lapizole, is it the one you put in water?

Sorry so many questions!

Using the 10% Panacur Liquid Dog/Cat Wormer the dose is 0.2ml/kg/day
