Neutering in Leeds/Wakfield West Yorks

DemiS

Anyone know of any good vets in the Leeds/Wakfield area that will neuter rabbits for a decent price? Most of the ones I've contacted charge £80 per rabbit and don't even seem experienced :? Need to get two boys done

I went to one in rothwell, dont know how close it is? Its called the vet (original i know!). It cost £50 for him, which was a lot cheaper than the one we went for his injections..

They were really good with mylo, and they seemed like they really cared.

Yeah I am close. Very original name  I usually go to Abbey House in Morley, but with the price of vaccinations I don't dare ask how much a neuter would be

Do you have a website, or phone number for them?

We took mylo to Abbey House for his injections but the one in Rothwell, it put me off taking him there cos we would have had to drive him to Morley and it was about £80 compared to £50 at this one. I dont have much experience with vets but these seem really nice and they looked after him and made a fuss of him, they seemed better than abbey house in rothwell.

Sage vets in Heckmondwike neuter cheap, £48 for a boy, £63 for a girl.

Saying that They're not decent rabbit vets for any other ailments, though they do a splendid job at neutering.

Calder is like £72 for a boy !

Well the girls operation is so much more inasive than the boy, thus the higher price.

I think it's £95.00 for a girl spey at calder too .

Saying that Calder have a rabbit specialist, and use lapinject instead of Cylap. However back in the day of Lola being a little bun, she was speyed at calder and they made a mess, didn't clean her up, she came back to us covered in blood. and the wound wasn't neat, she even had glue all over her ears. I have had my other 3 bunnies neutered at Sage (the other 2 were rescues so already neutered) and they came back clean with neat cuts that healed perfectly and the bunnies recovered fast. It shows cost really doesn't matter, because you can pay the highest prices and still get a bad job done of it. :(

yeh i agree, just cos its the most expensive it doesnt mean its the best. Aww thats terrible for Lola bein covered in blood. I was impressed with the one we went to, mylo was fine, i know its not as much an operation for males though. Might have to see how far that one is for when mylo is due his injections, he was a bit poorly after he had cyclap
