Does anyone know of a orthapaedic specialist that deal with rabbits please?, I know about about Noel Fitzpatrick in Surrey but is there anyone else?, we are back to the vets in the morning and I want to go with information on our options
Ian Sayers is the vet that has looked after Lynx throughout his respiratory problems and treatment at langford and has been fantastic!
No no, i agree haha
Yes, I know Ian Sayers but just wondered if there was anyone else that specialises in orthpaedics, I want to have as many options as possible, thanks for all the suggestions, if anyone knows of anyone else can you please let me know
What is the orthopaedic problem? Some are able to be dealt with by 'normal' vets (i.e. non-specialist orthopod) in which case a rabbit specialist alone will be sufficient. The more complicated and unique problems that require more radical surgery are better dealt with a combined rabbit and orthopaedic specialism team. I don't know of anyone who specialises in both rabbits and orthopaedic surgery. Your best option would be a referral centre which has both rabbit referral and orthopaedic referral teams who can work together. These are not very common - we and Bristol University have both (not a plug, just trying to show how unusual the combination is!), FHB obviously is a rabbit specialist and her husband is very keen on orthopaedics otherwise I'm not aware of any other similar centres.
Not sure if she is a specialist in that field but Frances Harcourt brown in Harrogate?
She treated stew and found her curvature if the spine. She was fab. She said her son was working somewhere down south can't remember where and he is a specialist
Does John Chitty do orthopaedics?
