Vibes please - Tibbsy has a UTI infection U/D getting better slowly

Thank you everyone!

Tibbsy has a very high temperature (106 degrees) but her gut feels and sounds normal - however her bladder is inflamed. The vet thinks its a UTI (ANOTHER one :roll:) and has given Tibbs antibiotics and painkillers by injection.

So I'll be playing Nurse with antibiotics, painkillers and supportive care (syringe water and SS Recovery) until Tibbs feels well enough to eat by herself.
 
Just a quick update after Tibbsy's check-up this morning.

Her temp is back down to 102 degrees and she has been eating small amounts of veg (spring greens mostly) and hay.
She will not eat any rabbit food (e.g. Excel, cheap mix stuff), not even treat type things, so we still have a way to go. But at least she is eating something.

Her drinking has returned to normal, thankfully - we were slightly worried about her kidneys.

She is spending much of the day asleep, but this is to be expected, and gives her body a chance to repair itself.

We are by no means out of the woods, but she seems to be steadily improving. My tough little girl! :love:
