Suspected EC - should we take out pet insurance or is it too late?

The vet thinks my rabbit may have EC  He hasn't had the blood test yet - that is tomorrow. Should we take out pet insurance or is it too late? He has been treated for a urine infection - had injection and going to see how he is and then he is back tomorrow morning at the vet.

Thank you

It will be too late. The usual stipulation is that the insurance company won't pay out in the first 2 weeks....unless there is an accident or something usually.
You could always ring them and try....but I doubt you will get anywhere.
Sorry.
Hope bun is ok.

many insurance companies dont cover against something your aniiamls could have been prevented against. eg if a cat gets cat flu then wont pay because it should have been vaccinated against cat flu.

the EC blood test will only show if your rabbit has ever been exposed to EC. many rabbits have a positive blood test but never show signs of EC. so dont pin everything on the blood test. get treatment started asap.
