We have three buns with us at the moment who are going to be with us long term for health reasons and they are all looking for special people to sponsor them.
Buffy is a beautiful tortoiseshell lionhead but she has terrible teeth. Two fell out when the vet tried to file the spurs down during her spay and she needs to regularly see our "toothy vet" Rebecca to keep them under control. She also has a cataract in her right eye which although it doesn't bother her needs regular medication.
Charlie Too also came in as he had continuing health problems which his mum couldn't get on top of and his vet bills were mounting up. Charlie Too has severe pasturella and whilst we haven't as yet been able to find a solution to his sneezes we are managing it and he is a happy little boy. He has regular medication, morning and night, which he is very good about taking.
Laurel is a really friendly girl and so is her husbun Hardy. She came in with a severe abscess over her left eye and initially it was feared she would lose the eye. But Rebecca managed to operate and remove the abscess without Laurel suffering this loss. We will keep a close eye on it and see how she progresses. Laurel also unfortunately suffers with severe dental issues and again needs regular appointments to get these seen to and as long as they are looked after she eats well and is a very outgoing and happy little girl.
It costs just £24 a year, or £2 a month and all sponsor money for these buns will go directly towards their vet bills, vaccinations and past and potentially future operations.
