got one of a kind rabbit

Mama Doe
Brad my agouti french lop rabbit has ingrowing eyelids and has now had his third op and the vet was saying she went on a course for eyes as she really wants to do this, and was saying to the vet who was running the course about him. The vet running the course has been a eye specialist for 20 yrs and has never seen this in a rabbit, so he is now famous.
As he grows he will keep needing his eye stitched, this time a student did it and he has done a neat job but he won't pass any fashion awards

Got an excellent opthalmologist in the practice where my vet is a partner. They recently operated on a falconish sort of bird with cataracts.
Id be interested to ask my vets if theyve come across your Brads condition.....Is there a name for it??? How did he get it??? How often does he have to have an op?? Will this be lifelong??? How old is Brad??Got any piccies of the lad????

Its called ectropion eyelids  I am sure Jill had a rabbit with the same condition which was operated on, or it may have been Amy :?

Eddie's eyelid has partly turned in due to the surgery he had on it but we don;t want to put him through another op. we just have to keep an eye on it to make sure it isn't damaging the surface :)

his unfortunately causes ulcers so he has to keep having the ops fingers crossed that it will be a while now, at first his eye was a real mess but now it is doing so well he is 5 months
