  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

She checked Peb's teeth and could see that the back ones on one side are misalinged quite a bit, also at the other side but not as bad. He is going back on 6 July to go under GA for the vet to have a proper look and do whatever it is they do to any spurs on the teeth etc they may find.

Bloomin expensive wabbit :love:...my 6 months probation at work will be up on this day and I have a review on the 7th...I do hope they don't let me go, wouldn't be able to afford dentals then :shock:

Why such a long wait for a GA and dental spur treatment? :? Is your bun eating and drinking ok? I should think if there were concerns over dental spurs then your bunny would be booked in for GA asap to prevent deterioration of the problem. :?

He is eating and drinking perfectly. He didn't go into the vets over dental concerns but the vet wants to check his teeth and mouth out properly to rule out his teeth being the cause to why I took him to the vets. She does not have concerns that he has anything wrong with his teeth currently but warned that she can see that his teeth are slightly misalinged and that if he shows signs of having problems then to bring him in.

I tried to book him in for this week but they are fully booked so I have taken the decision to leave it until the 6th as I am bonding him with my other rabbit over the next 2 weeks as from this weekend...due to personal circumstances I will not have another chance to do this any time soon. Of course if Peb's shows any signs of having dental concerns then I will scrap my plans and take him to the vets, but she has assured me that there is nothing to worry about in the interim.
