Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

New Kit
Hi there - just a quick q - renee got caught in rain shower, she was pretty damp so brought her in a towelled her dry. She's managed to sort herself out and seems fine now, just wondered if there was any more I need to do? I didn't know if hairdryers were OK or not?

Thanks.

Hairdryers on a very low heat setting are fine with buns but move it around the whole time so you don't concentrate the heat on one spot too long. Some buns find the noise stressful so if this is the case I would just leave it out.
In this mild weather, despite the rain, fur should dry quickly and very often it is just the surface waterproof guard hairs that get wet. If you pop your fingers deep into the under fur and this feels dry then you don't need to worry - bunny will be fine. :)

Thank you! She's probably pretty miffed at me right now, but I'm sure a couple of dandelion leaves will get her back on side!!
