wouldnt that hurt buns feet ?
You can put turf on top of the mesh if you want to - or the current grass will grow through the mesh anyway.
xOr you could move the run on top of paving slabs.

I'm getting some mesh to put under mine for exactly the same problem, but i'm having a nightmare finding any!
I need a 6x4foot piece and can't find it anywhere You can get long narrowish pieces no problem but then there's the problem of how to join them up... I've tried 2 garden centres, e-bay, Wickes and B&Q - anyone got any suggestions please?

I don't really want to put them on slabs, they love being on the grass - 24/7 food source :lol: - going to ring round some builders yeard type places today, surely someones got to sell a 6x4 piece of mesh.
