What do you cover a hutch run with

What does everybody cover their hutch run with. I've got The Happy Hutch run combo. I have some tarpaulin is that enough :?

When ours had the hutches we used tarpaulin, but in winter they had a tarp down the back and sides too, with thick fleecy blanket underneath it for extra warmth. This weather a tarp should be fine.

I found that the rain leaked through the tarpaulin in heavy rain (but the tarp was a very cheap one, so that might have made a difference) so I used a plastic builders sheet underneath it.



It's easier to show than explain but this ^^^^ is how I used to fix it on. In very heavy rain, I used to peg another tarp around the back and sides too.

Corrugated plastic with beach mats under for the run and tarpaulin and also plastic sheets that roll up and down the front, and also my dad has put roofing felt all down the sides and back too.

Onduline - it is great the water runs off (if you put some wood at the back to make the back higher than the front!)

Great for shade in the sun too.
