Good morning all!
I've been asked if I can take Thistle into the local primary school for a 'show and tell' type thing (my Mum helps out there and the teacher heard I had a giant rabbit!). I have to admit, I don't really want to take him - he's getting on a bit, I think the kids might freak him out and I don't much like kids myself! But their teacher assures me that she's taken her own bunny in before and the kids have been very good. She sits them in a circle, puts bun in the middle and tells the children that they are not to move and if bun wants to say hello, he will go to them.
Anyway, I'm thinking maybe I could use this as a way of getting some rabbit care information out.
I will take Jess too, as I wouldn't want to split the pair. I was thinking I could write the leaflet as if it's written by Thistle and Jess and include points like "Thistle says - I love to jump and hop so my house needs to let me do at least four hops without bumping into the wall" etc.
Can anyone else think of points I need to include and how to write them so they're kiddy friendly (these are age 5/6 children)?
I want to cover neutering, vaccinating, diet, housing, exercise, handling etc.
I'll also add a little note for parents on the bottom, saying if they'd like furthur advice or information to contact me.
Any ideas much appreciated!
