Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Lucy has runny eyes- white discharge.

I just noticed today lucy has runny eyes. Ama and Lily who she lives with don't. Do i need to seperate her out or can she be treated along side them. I have a feeling it's conjunctivitis, which is highly contagious. I'm currently dealing with 3 bunnys who have it, but they are all sole bunnys as of yet, not paired or bonded. Any suggestions ?

I wouldn't separate her if she is bonded. Probably worth consulting your vet on what to do.

One of the nurses at the practice I go to says that warm compresses help with eye infections to get all the gunk out.

Lots of vibes,

Thanks i'll put her on some golden eye ointment tonight and see if it clears up in the next few days, if not i'll take her to the vet. I'll ask the vet to do a dental on her as it may be a sign of that. I think with the white discharge it's conjunctivitis though. Fingers crossed. Thankyou for the vibes!
