Can anyone help with a litter of baby wildies - Notts area

I have just got back from Kirkby and while I was there Celia had a call from someone who had found an abandoned litter of babies wildies. The nest had been disturbed by some kind of digging machinery and the mother had left and has not returned.

To give these babies a chance of survival they will need hand rearing. They still have their eyes closed and there are 7 in the litter (I think).

Celia is unable to take these as she will not be able to cope with them as well as looking after all the animals she already has.

I have absolutely no experience with handrearing babies and as I work I couldn't give them the dedicated attention they would need, otherwise I would have a go.

The babies are somewhere in the Kirkby area, but I assume the person would take them to Celia's if someone can be found to take them on. I could help with transport if necessary.

If you can help, please could you phone Celia directly. I won't be in for the rest of the afternoon as I now have to go and collect one of my chins from a specialist vet in Leeds. Celia's number is 01623 753883.

Beth - this is a different litter to the one Celia has already spoken to you about.

Thanks

Brilliant.

This is the second lot of wildies - Beth is already helping with the first lot (the mother was found dead at the side of the litter )

Suzanne - if you can contact Celia, then she can get in touch with the person who has them. I know this person has to go out to work later, so the sooner we can get it sorted the better.

Thanks everyone. :)

OK I'll ring celia and collect them.

I've collected this little ones from the company site. There are 7, they are quite wriggly and warm. Their eyes are closed so I would think they are less than a week old.

Well done Suzanne. :D

I think Celia was quite upset because she felt unable to help them herself. She'll be so pleased that they are being given a chance.
