Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Sleepy Eyes

Young Bun
Hi Guys,

I've noticed recently when I go out to give Lula and Buttons their breakfast on a morning, that Lula has something that looks alot like I would call sleep in the corner of her eyes.

Both of them are malting like mad at the moment, and when I clean it from her eyes it is fluff that comes out.

I'm just wondering if this is normal - as it doesn't happen to my other two bunnies.

Thanks!

Is it crusty?
As long as her eye(s) are not watering, weeping or red (sore looking) then I would not worry.
Maybe just bathe her eyes with a cotton pad of cooled boiled water.

No it's not crusty, it's more like what I rub out of my eyes on a morning and her eyes definately don't look red.

I will bathe them this weeked when I brush her though as an extra precaution.

Thanks
