are the leads okay to use, it's just that he run's really fast and their is quite alot of cats in our street, i do trust him but if the cats come in to our garden, i wouldn't want to chance it, we dont have much grass either but he seems to like the wooden bit the best anyways.

Awww! So cute! I bought a very similar harness and lead for Flopsy the other day... he's a very confident rabbit and will not ever do anything he doesn't want to, which is why I wasn't sure he'd like it.... I put the harness on him and let him run around for a bit getting used to it, then took him out with the lead attached and he absolutely loved it!!! I hope Alfie enjoyed his walkies too! :D

Hello

He is a gorgeous bunbun . I used to use a lead with my older rabbit, but she just used to amble around and it was only used to let her stretch her legs more really.

As you said he likes to run around, it might actually hurt him if he runs around really fast and binkies. It sounds like he is like my girlie bun who is always on the go and would never put a lead on her as I know she would hurt herself.

Could you buy a run instead? :D

sometimes he trys to pull the lead off and then it gets stuck underneath his frount paw..but most of the time he ingnores it, i have tryed to let him off the lead but he just got the lead caught under his paw again, mabye i need to make it tighter.:?:

i could buy one but our grass is pretty small..When he is outside he Licks himself alot too, does that just mean he feels dirty?

I wouldnt tighten the harness anymore :). Is he an indoor bun or outside?
If indoor could you let him have a roam in a room instead?

yeah, we do let him run around everynight and everymorning, he goes outside through the day if its warmish, but he like running around the garden. I think he likes being on our decking and i trust him on it but i don't know if i can trust the cats...

Could you supervise him then, whilst he free ranges in the garden? :D

He is gorgeous :D

Personally, I wouldn't use a lead. I used one on a previous rabbit, she spooked and got the lead caught round her leg. As she panicked more, the tighter the lead became, she actually screamed in fear/shock/pain.

Could you get a run for him?

harness problems

When we had a singleton she wore her harness all the time, and we clipped the lead on at walkies time. She loved it all. Our garden then was huge and there was no realistic way to bun-proof it. However when we moved here and had two buns it was hopeless - they collaborated and gnawed through each other's harness. We gave up. And here we had a garden that could easily be bun-proofed, so we did that instead, and now they are free-range from breakfast to dusk most days, which they love even better.
