Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Inca drinking quite alot of water again....EC again?

Kermit

Wise Old Thumper
My Inca has just recovered from EC recently, but the past couple of days i have noticed that she seems to be drinking alot more water than before.

I know that she drank alot when she had EC.....could it have come back?

She is totally fine apart from that, binkying about and eating as normal.

The only other thing i can think of is internal damage due to long term Metacam, but i might just be over reacting.

Any ideas??

Sorry not really much help but now my boy recovered he has stopped drinking excesive amounts.
Hope she is fine

Unfortunately EC can cause renal damage so that is something to consider.

I'd keep a check on how much she drinks over the next few days. Also weigh her now and again in a few days time. Weightloss despite eating as normal *might* be another indicator of renal problems. If she is continuing to drink alot after the weekend I'd take her to the Vets.

Thanks,
I will monitor her intake and weigh her.
Hope its just a thirsty couple of days, but im worried :(
