safe and secure runs???

I am in the process of building some quite large rabbit runs for grass grazing and although it would be nice to put the run straight onto grass, I live in a very rural place and we are surrounded with woodland and fields hence we have , pine marten, mink,weasels, otters, buzzards, hawks, owls etc etc....
I would only be happy if the runs had wire floors to prevent digging in or digging out, I am just concerned that if the rabbits try digging they might damage their feet or claws, has anyone got runs with wire floors are they o.k or what alternatives are there if any??? I could keep them on paved areas or wood etc but then they cant graze

I think the wire on the bottom should be ok. I'm sure i've heard that other people have done this.

You could put wire on the bottom of the run and then turf over the wire :wave:
