have just adopted my 4th bunny today. His name is Bugs and he is in such a state he is a long haired lion boy 18 months old. He is very underweight, he has had 4 teeth taken out, his fur is matted beyond belief on his tummy. I have booked him into the vets tommorrow. Would you recomend that I gently cut the matted fur away when he has settled in his new home????

Amanda Bunny mum to gordon, pickles, robbie, bugs, piggie mum to nutmeg and binky, chilla mum to missy.

If I was in the same situation, I'd ask the vet to remove the matted fur, to ensure you don't catch his skin. I tried doing this with my cat years ago and ended up with a hefty vet bill!

Good luck with Bugs, he sounds lovely :)

Yes I was thinking along the same lines, I'll post some pics of before and after of the little chap. He has such a lovely temperment he goes to sleep when to rub his head and loves cuddles, poor little thing.

Aww, I wish mine would sleep when you run their head, they're more likely to run off and stamp their feet at me
