Bunny with broken leg

Suzanne

Mama Doe
Celia at Kirkby had a call from her vets saying that someone had left a bunny there with a broken leg. They asked if she would take him on and be prepared to pay for the treatment as the owner didn't want to. How could anyone say no? He's had his leg pinned and had been recovering with one of her fosterers for a few weeks. He's walking ok now but he's still not putting his full weight on it yet. He a lovely, friendly chap. I took these pics of him today.

With all the money the vet makes from the rescue, is he not able to treat the rabbit as a pro bona case and then let the rescue rehome? Its not really on for them to ask Celia to pay for it, as they knew she would have to agree in case they pts.

So sickened that anyone can do such a thing.

Lots of rehoming and healing wishes for this gorgeous little man.

Agreed - its unfair to keep pushing costs onto the rescues that are all groaning under the strain of huge vet bills.
