Litter...

Hi guys,

Just wondering what is the best type of litter to use? Most people seem to opt for megazorb but this seems to only be available to order in really large quantities.

Am I best off checking out my local farmshops?

i use hemp and it works amazing, better than the fake version of care fresh / boxo we get here.

I use cat litter (rabbit safe) in their litter trays and then straw as bedding.

Although Leo isn't really litter trained and gets a bit smelly so I might have to look into something like megazorb.

There are lots of different types of bedding available. If you are just wanting it for your litter tray a lot of people just use newspaper and then pop hay on top, but there are quite a few different other products that can also be used such as:-

Megasorb - comes in 80 litre sacks
Aubiose - comes in 20-25 kilo bales
Bed O linum - flax bedding only needs changing on average every 2 weeks, available in 12.5 and 35 litre bags
Carefresh
Shredded Paper
Wood Pellet Cat litter
etc etc

Megazorb is fab. The 80ltr sacks last me about 3 months for 6 buns
