Personally, I think keeping rabbits singly is cruel and is not taking proper care of the rabbit. Rabbits should only be kept singly if the rabbit has been tried to be bonded with lots of rabbits, but simply doesn't bond (ie tried everything to bond it with others). I do not think that saying that you don't have enough money for a second rabbit, or enough space, or you can't be bothered or you think it will change their personality is good enough reasons to keep a rabbit singly.
