Need advice Please :( new bunny needs friend

Hi, This is the first time my partner and I have ever had a rabbit. We bought him just over a week ago and he is living in the house with us. He seems to have settled in very well, however we have been considering getting him a friend as when we are out we don't want him to be bored or lonely.
When I went back to the pet shop they still have a couple of the rabbits that he was in with previously.
Would it be a good idea to get one of these rabbits as he has bonded with them already? ?
We aren't sure if Bernard (our rabbit) will be territorial now that he has been with us for a week or whether he will be happy to accept new rabbit into his home. :?
I would be very greatful if someone could give me a bit of advice

Hello and welcome to RU.

Your bun may be territorial yes. I would suggest getting him neutered (as introducing him to other buns with all that testosterone will be tricky) and then getting him a spayed female friend. Why not contact your local rescue - the bun will be neutered and vaccs and some rescues will also help with bonding.

Thats great, I was worried because we don't have enough room for two buns at the moment but thought we would have to buy another straight away if we were to get one from the same litter.
We move house in May so that will be a good time to start thinking about getting another and it will be a neutral place for both buns with lots more room.
