Pre-after care for dental

Nicole+Alex

Hi, any advice for me as Binky is going in for a dental to remove some horns on growing on the inside of his teeth. He'll be under anasthetic. Any advice greatfully received.

Also the vet is still not sure what is causing him to not eat all his soft poos. We've tried hay only but it doesnt make any difference?

Make sure you keep him nice and warm for at least 24 hours after the op i.e. bring him inside if he is an outdoor bunny.

Have lots of foods in to try to tempt him to eat e.g. kale, spring greens, variety of herbs and some grated carrot. Also have some Science Recovery food in as an emergency in case you have to syringe feed.

Check your bunny has had some pain relief before you bring him home and whether he needs additional pain relief when home.

Hope it goes OK.
