Dry Skin During A Moult?

sidereus7

Mama Doe
Eddison has been molting for the past couple of weeks, and I noticed that his skin is really dry near his bottom. He isn't itching it at all.

My first thought was mites, but reading through some older threads, it seems a lot of buns get dry skin when they molt? Is this true?

If you mean a bit flakey then yes it can happen. However, if there is alot of 'dandruff' mites may well be involved.

Not much of it comes off when I brush him. Just looking at his actual skin, it looks very dry with white patches on a rather large area.
