Hay thoughts.......

I feed mine Burges forage with, I think it's marigold. Also Alfafa King Timothy hay. I think they are just eating the Timothy hay. I seem to throw out an awful lot of the Burges. Do you think it's ok to just eat timothy hay?? They would eat that for Ireland!!

dont know where you are... but meadow hay from a horse feed shop is usually good stuff.. i buy a bale for about £4 which lasts me ages. I also buy specialist hays from hay experts for a treat. Timothy hay is good stuff but its expensive and i think its higher in calcium or something than normal hay. My lot also like dried grass for another treat too ;)

Am writing this down! Thanks!!

There is nothing wrong with Timothy hay, other than the price.:) My bunnies love it and I don't mind the price. After all, in the long run it is cheaper than paying high vet bills.:)

I don't mind price either. £8.99 in pets at home and does me, or the rabbits rather, I would imagine, almost a month. Might look into the meadow hay form horse supplier too though just to give them a bit of variety. They really don't seem to like the Burges stuff.
