Hiya Everyone

Just thought I'd tell you about the RSPCA Manchester and Salford Rabbit and Guinea Pig Roadshow.

As an RSPCA branch we are rather special as although we rehome dogs and cats our passion definitely lies with helping raise the standards for rabbit and guinea pig husbandry. Our branch trains other branches in a constant effort to change the state of rabbit and piggy care in the UK.

This year we have stepped up our campaign to improve the care of
piggies by organising a Rabbit & Guinea Pig Roadshow that will take
place on several dates across March and April, so far we have
confirmed the dates and locations below:

Sat 13th March 12-4pm
Rainbow Community Centre
Liverpool Road
Eccles
Salford

Sat 20th March 12-2pm
St Matthews Church Hall
Chapel Lane off Chester Road
Stretford
Manchester

The afternoon will consist of rabbit and guinea pig care experts giving advice on behaviour, housing, bonding and feeding. All animals will then have a full health check with an exotic specialist vet (from Ashleigh Vets, Chorlton).
We have quizes, lots of fab prizes, gifts (including toys and cosies etc, and displays.

The event is for everyone regardless of benefits in Greater Manchester.

I know you guys are very knowledgable but it's a free vet check and a chance to help us raise some dosh!

Hopefully we'll see you there!

P.S I'm still on the look out for toys, treats etc to make up some goody bags so if anyone can help just pm me. Also, any good pics of your buns that I can use for my display would be very much appreciated, thank you!

Wonder if I can make one, think thats before my term ends though :( It's always nice to go along to them, partly cos Gilly seems to like seeing Eddie coming back to visit.

The more the merrier, please spread the word to all those in Greater Manchester with buns and piggies! :D

I will come on the 20th, but my the vet said my bunny is is good health so I don't think i'll bring her, but I might, oh I don't know! :) I would like to meet some local rabbit people so we can share bales of hay

Sounds great! :D x

I have some pics of my guinea pigs' C&C cage if you want some to show alternative internal accommodation options?
