my devoted parents!

As you know, my parents are looking after my girls temporarily, until spring when they can go outside.

So Dad is looking for a big hutch/shed to attach to their run so they can go outside in the day and "thoughen up" on nicer days. He's found a handmade hutch that is 2 storeys of 4ft x 4ft 6 x 2ft with ceramic bathroom tiles :shock: in immaculate condition! But its wider than the passage down the side of our house to the garden - so he is arranging with the neighbours to bring it in through their garden and over the fence!!! Its about 8ft tall and Dad is over 65!!! I LOVE MY DAD! what an effort ay?!

AND last night he texted me, at 00.16am to ask if the rabbits are allowed as much hay as they want, as currently they are eating it all! :shock::shock: Bless, he looks after them soooo well.

AND he knows i miss them, so he sent me a bag of chocolate bunnies! :love::love::love:

Your parents are amazing. :D
However, I still believe that they have ulterior motives. I think they have fallen in love with your buns (and who can blame them) and the only buns that you'll be allowed to have are chocolate ones.:shock:

:shock::shock::shock::shock: hadn't thought of that!!!!

they live in Dad's office, and he talks to himself while working anyway :oops: so now he has someone to talk to! But he gets so easily distracted and has to go over and give them a stroke :lol::lol: dont think he gets anything done any more!!!

Aww, thats so sweet. Wish I had a dad, mine doesnt awknowledge the fact that I live. :( Oh well, my mum is pretty grand though.

You must be missing your babies so much. I would hate it if my landlord had put me in the same situation. :( Unfair man.

Aww this has made me go all squishy inside! What lovely people they are! Very lucky buns indeed.

Well, there's no way that hutch can be moved back out is there ;)

So your dad is just going to have to adopt some buns to live in it when yours return to you.

Another convert in the making !

awwwwwwwwwwww do you think he will move them outside if hes got them in his office, i think he will miss them too much, i bet. great to have an excuse for talking to yourself :lol: who ever said pets are not theraputic have never had a pet

my mum was the same, "im only having them for a short while", while shes not to keen on the feeding in freezeing cold weather, she spoils her rotton taken loads of piccies and i get daily "what she did today ...."

Good point! :thumb:

They will be occasionally holidaying in there until i finish my degree, but after that.....

I have told him to open the windows at the back so they can get used to the cold at night - he said "oh, so i have to turn the heater off then?" :roll::roll: :lol::lol:

My parents are exactly the same!!

My mum goes over to my house a lot during the day while I am at work to let the rabbits out for a run in the garden. I am then bombarded with texts telling me what they are doing and picture messages.

I had to send my guinea pigs over to their house for a couple of weeks recently and I think my dad fell in love!! Again, I was constantly getting updates about them and often when I called, my Dad would be having cuddles. Now that they have come back to my house, he comes over and says "I am just going to check on my babies" and off he goes!!

I think I have lost my position as the baby of the family!!! :lol:

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

My big butch army captain big brother often dissapears when he's home - because he's in the office or the garden, talking to the buns! Indi loves men in general, and will sit on his lap for aaaaaaaaaaaaages if he offers!

awww bless your dad:love: will they adopt me and my furry creatures please?:D great that you can relax knowing they're so well cared for:).

My parents are exactly the same, lol.

Mum came with me out to a bunny specialist a couple of weeks ago at 10pm Sunday night - an hours drive to get there, to help me with my sick buns. She came again at 1am this morning when I had to take one of my buns to them again as he is not well. I just called and mum said "pick me up, I'll be ready in 20 mins".

Dad is a sook, he loves to cuddle them all but when they're sick he goes to pieces and can't face it, so he calls me every 5 minutes to get updates and ask if they need anything from the fruit & veg shop!

I love my parents :love:

I was getting all excited today, because my Dad was going to install the massive new hutch/shed thingy - he had 4 friends over to help and the fence panels removed for the job. Then some woman parked her car in front of the panel space at the bottom so they couldn't do it! grrr!!!

Will update with pics when it does happen though!

Sounds like theyre being spoilt!! :lol: My dads the same, he pretends he doesnt really like the rabbits but then hes always down the shed talking to Ronnie :love:

Looking foward to pics of the new set up!! :D xXx
