Songs that remind us of our bunnies.....

willowholly

Mama Doe
Do you have any songs that remind you of your buns?
I'm so in love with you by Texas reminds me of Holly because id had a row with Hubby & she was laid under our bed.I went under there to cuddle her & this song was playing.I just cried & stayed cuddling her.
Irreplaceable by Beyonce always makes me cry as I heard it for the 1st time when I had picked up Willow & had her head flopped over my shoulder hours before she died. That was the one & only time she came upstairs to our lounge.
On a happier note I have just downloaded 4 songs as they remind me of Barley & Dill.
Georgy Girl as I always sing this to B but change the words to Barley Girl,& 3 versions of nursery rhyme Lavenders Blue[dilly dilly]as I sing that to Dill.

I don't have one for the rabbits but we do have one for ARChie the guinea pig.

It's the theme tune from Ivor the Engine (for us oldies) and if you want to hear it....it's here. http://www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/tv/children/ivortheengine/ivor.wav

You have to imagine ARChie waddling around in front of his wives though.....

ARChie is the short coated pig in the middle here....

Fight for this Love, by Cheryl Cole, for Rosie, because no one fought for Rosie until she came to us.

Follow You Nito The Dark by Death Cab for A Cutie for Sky

Doesn't Mean Anything by Alicia Keys for Tilly.

For Flash, many things You Raise me Up, by WestLife

Back for Good, by Take That

Wind Beneath my Wings by Bette Midler

For Summer, Young at Heart, by the Bluebells

And for most of my rescue buns (more specifically Summer and Tilly), Fighter, by Christina Aquilera

Can't think of anymore off the top of my head, and the internet is being an idtio, but yes, lots of songs.

You know Mr by Robbie Williams - Not his biggest fan but this song came on when Pepper went away to try and be bonded. Could just see him on his hind legs swaying and singing along to this.

Gotta love my imagination! :oops::lol:

I think there is a song called 'a little bit of toast'. I don't know who sang it. My husband used to sing it to our old rabbit Rodney because he like the odd tiny crust of toast.

This song was out when we rescued Smokey, she had been in a hutch at the bottom of the garden for years in constant pain and looking like a toast rack. Her owner said she was nasty and would bite when they went to touch her and she was going to college anyway and wanted rid of her.
Smokey had a huge open sore on her tummy which was a tumor she screamed with pain when you picked her up and we sent her to the vets for an operation to remove the tumor ,this song was playing the day she went for her op. Turned out she was riddled with tumors and we brought her home for what little time she had left with us and just filled every moment for her with love and care.
This song always reminds me that we tried so hard to make her better...but we couldn't .

The Goo Goo Dolls "Iris" - I was listening to it when Alistair died

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive
And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

When Cracker died, I played/sang Beyonce's "Broken Hearted Girl" to Missy - & she died shortly after:cry:

Lily Shane came into my life and that night I heard Shane Warne "No Promises".
Even though Ive done all I can to mmake her well and keep her that way,the song makes me think "What if I lost her".
It makes me sad.....

I listened to The Fray - Never say never in the car everytime i took Blackie to the vets the week he was ill and i sung him and Fudge Phil Colins - You'll be in my heart the day Blackie went for his operation

Both songs make me cry, but i still sing Phil colins to Fudge

".....For one so small you seem so strong, My arms will hold you keep you safe and warm. this bond between us, cant be broken......." my favourite part :)

Love You by Free Design reminds me of Ralph when he was a baby.

Lyrics are:

Give a little time for the child within you,
don’t be afraid to be young and free.
Undo the locks and throw away the keys
and take off your shoes and socks, and run you.
La, la, la...

Give a little time for the child within you,
don’t be afraid to be young and free.
Undo the locks and throw away the keys
and take off your shoes and socks, and run you.
La, la, la...

Run through the meadow and scare up the milking cows
Run down the beach kicking clouds of sand
Walk a windy weather day, feel your face blow away
Stop and listen: Love you.

Roll like a circus clown, put away your circus frown
Ride on a roller coaster upside down
Waltzing Matilda, Carey loves a kinkatchoo
Joey catch a kangaroo, hug you.

Dandylion, milkweed, silky on a sunny sky
Reach out and hitch a ride and float on by
Balloons down below catching colors of the rainbow
red, blue and yellow-green: I love you.

Bicycles, tricycles, ice cream candy
Lollypops, popsicles, licorice sticks
Solomon Grundy, Raggedy Andy
Tweedledum and Tweedledee, home free.

Cowboys and Indians, puppydogs and sandpails
Beachballs and baseballs and basketballs, too.
I love forget-me-nots, fluffernutters, sugarpops
I’ll hug you and kiss you and love you
La, la, la... Love you.
