In fairness the advert does say they make lovely pets.
It does say that NZW are "traditionally bred for meat so may interest those interested in self sufficiency ":?
Unfortunately this is true, rabbit meat does generally come from NZW and in this country it is acceptable to eat rabbit meat so may be its better that they are kept nicely by a few individuals than people buying mass produced rabbit meat from the supermarket :? Same with any animal that people eat.
Its just a thought, and I don't eat meat so I am not sticking up for breeding animals to eat, but its always going to happen so maybe it is best that people who do eat it rear their own :?
