Blood Stain on bunny throw

Tedsue

Young Bun
Hi There,

I haven't posted for a long time, as our bunnies have been very well. earlier this week i had cleaned our sofa on which our giant bunny sits on her throw. I cleaned everything as a new year freshen up type thing. Tonight ive come back to find blood stains on her throw. She hasn't got any cuts on her so im thinking it must have been from her urine? What does this mean? im going to call the vets tomorrow morning.

Kind Regards

Are you sure its blood ?

Rabbit wee can be dark orange/red at times, depending on what Bun has been eating.

If it is blood is she spayed ?

Hello,

I cant be sure if its blood or not to be honest. She has been spayed yes. Her diet hasnt changed for months and she sits on the couch throw everyday.... thats really why i was worried as her diet and water intake has stayed the same. she looks ok and eting drinking etc.

i've got no experience of blood in the wee i'm afraid, i just wanted to know that eric's wee is often reddy/orange but esme's isn't - and they eat the same food/veg etc. its just normal for him.

hopefully your vet will be able to rule out any infections:)

Bearing in mind all of the above possibilities, could she have torn a nail or snagged it on the throw?
