Rabbit Vet needed - Harlow and surrounding area?

Leanne

Wise Old Thumper
Hiya all,

My vet (and dear friend) is moving away January

So I need to find a new vet I can trust with my buns.

Im in Harlow but do have a car so can go further afield but not too far!

Any recommendations?

Thank you!

My friends away till after xmas Leanne, but she lives in Harlow not far from the travel lodge and has a bun, so can ask her who she uses when she gets back if you like. I know there used to be a very good one in Wormley but cant remember the name, it was just before the roundabout to the lammasmead estate, opposite the junior school(St Lawrence Drive) where the shops are set back from the road.

Ah thanks for that, it would be much appreciated!

When I moved here I just continued to use th esurgery I used to work at in London but now she is going I really need to find someone decent!
I have used a couple of local vets in emergencies but can't say im confident in their rabbit medicine.

Can your current vet suggest anyone? She might have an idea of who is good (and who to avoid!) in the area?

She doesn't know any over this way and I don't really know anyone with rabbits over this way either! All my rabbit people are in London or use my vet!

Bumping this up as I still haven't found a vet and mine has now left!!!!

Im abit concerned about what to do if I have an emergency!

Anywhere within half hour drive would be considered!

Which side of Harlow are you on?

If Upminster is easily accessible to you, I'd go for Wylie's in Upminster, it's literally about a minute's drive off the A127 so easily accessible. William Lewis there is an exotics specialist, he's Louise and Gus's vet and she thinks he's brill.

If you're on the North side, then both the Rabbit Residence rescue and Heathland's rescue use the Woolpack vets in Buntingford. I don't think they have a 'specialist' as such but they certainly see lots of bunnies whether they like it or not!

Thanks guys!

Upminster is awful to get to from here, no direct routes and its all zig zagging about to get there, takes an hour normal traffic.

Buntingford might be a possibility though.

The Wormley one isn't too far though, could you find out the name for me please?

:D
