How do you know what colour they will be?

Our baby looks gingery at the moment. Mum is black though (netherland dwarf.) and dad is a white with grey patches dwarf also.

Am wondering what colour to expect.

my foster babies didn't change colour they stayed the same.

Generally they stay the same but may change shades throughout the seasons. Eg brown can become fawn and the ginger patches can become more prominent

Could be a recessive colour gene. They don't have to look like either of the parents

Sounds like a lovely little baby, anyway.
