I had a rescue beardie with 3 legs and half a tail called Scampy, she was so friendly. used to warch tv with me!
Does he head-bob at you at all?
He's just over a foot long at the moment but he's only in a small vivarium. I took him off a friend who was basically being thrown out of his house.
He loves to watch TV and climb up the clothes drier. And yes, he does head bob. :lol:
Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone. He's getting his 4ft vivarium sometime over Christmas so I may just have to take more pictures then. :roll:

I have a 4ft fish tank that I was wondering if it can be converted? (I dont seem to have much luck with fish).
I would have no idea what reptile I would be able to keep in there as I've been meaning to research all this year but not got round to it, is there any good websites you would recc?
What would you need for a viv set up?

I kind of got Genghis by accident but later found out that beardies are very good fist reptiles a they're fairly easy to keep and handle. I can't really recommend any websites as I get all my information from his previous owner and an exotics specialist in town.
I don't see any reason why a fish tank couldn't be converted.
Beardies need a heat lamp and a UV lamp with one side of the enclosure at optimum temperature and the other side cooler. Perhaps you could attach those to the top somehow? They also need adequate ventilation. The only reason I would recommend getting a specially made vivarium is that they usually have sliding doors which are much easier for petting and feeding. You also need rocks and branches for climbing and basking and somewhere to keep live food.
You could probably sell the fish tank and use the money to get a second hand set up....

I got it because it has a 5 megapixel camera and I like to take a camera everywhere just in case the bunnies are too cute or something.
