He isn't coming round from his anaesthetic from his dental properly. I took him some pellets down and went to see him, and even 3 hours after he was still laid on his side very sleepy
I'm so worried

sometimes they just do take ages - 3 hours isn't really very long. Damson took about 3 days to get back to normal after just an x-ray!!!!

how old is he? and had he been not eating just before the dental?? It can all make a difference to speed of recovery.

Hes 2-3 years old, has only been under GA once before for his neuter and recovered fine. he ate some porrige before his dental but has barely been eating pellets and is fairly underweight - about 1.2kg. He is a smallish lionhead.

Oh bless him. I hope he starts to come round soon. Bungle has had 2 GA's this week and was fully round from them both within an hour but when Strawberry last had one it took all afternoon so bunnies can vary alot.

Thanks for the reassurance :)
Can't wait to ring in the morning and see how he is !

I would be awful if mine had to stay in overnight. I took Bungle this morning and they said they wouldnt have time to do it till late afternoon so he might have to stay overnight if he takes a while to come round. I was dreading the phone call all day but the vet rang at 12pm and said he knew how I would be so they did him earlier! lol I was allowed him home at 3pm. On Saturday night when he had his first lot of stitching I took him in at 6pm and got him back at 8pm. In that time he had a GA and all his stitches done. The vet would rather he was home with me to finish than in the surgery during emergency time incase he gets called out.
