Wizzy Lizzy
Warren Scout
I have read a few posts on here about bunnies being wormed.
When I took Lorenzo for his injections after adopting him I did ask about worming and the vet said that they do not normally worm rabbits. I adopted Daisy a couple of weeks ago and she is having her 2nd injection (Myxo - she has had her VHD) on Saturday. Should I ask the vet to worm her? (and get stuff for Lorenzo/arrange to take him in)?
I did definitely ask though and the vet said they don't do it. I was quite surprised but didn't push the matter. Having grown up with dogs all my life worming is the norm, but these are my first rabbits so I am still learning. As both of the bunnies are outside I want them to be protected against as much as possible - I would much rather worming them now rather than having to sort out an ill bun.
Just as an aside! I am going to have a go at bonding Loz and Daisy after Christmas (she needs to have her 'op' first) - they are so lovely when they are in their adjoining runs they snuggle nose to nose and Daisy hops around her run looking for Lorenzo if he is somewhere else eating (it is his favourite past time)! I can't wait they are such lovely buns!
