Young Bun
I'm sooo gutted.
Max is my baby, honestly, i love him soo much, he just soo friendly and loving, he'll give you kisses and let you hug him for hours.
Recently though he's developed a blocked up tear duct, and i have been back and forth to the vets to try and sort it out.
He's had drops and everything.
But yesterday i thought i was making progress as the gew in his eye had gone,
So on return to the vets i was hoping for the best and for her to say he's fine. Only to be told he'd still got a lot of gew in his eye and that he was going to need to have his eye flushed to see what was in there.
So he has now has his eye flushed and has to have some new eye drops put in and some oral medican everyday .. this has all run up to a grand total of £180!
But its still not fixed.. when they were washing his eye they said not alot of water came out of his nose, so theres still a blockage, but this might be caused by his teeth.
So now i'v got to decide weather i pay another £150 for an operation to see if it is his teeth and in the end it might not be so iv then paid £150 for nothing! But if i just leave it he may have to have his eye washed out ever month or even week to stop the bulid up of gew in his eye.. and that'll cost me £80 a time.
So i just don't no what to do =[ I no he's my baby but its just not worth it =[ £300 + on a rabbit.
Iv cried and cried.. tonight i just held him and cried and asked y he had to do this to me =[
I dnt no what do do.. i'm just hoping it'll get better on its own
Also i do no how much it costs to look after a rabbit, as my previous rabbit Dizzie i spent a almost 2 grand on just for the vet to say i'm sorry but he's gotta be put down, i just can't afford for it to happen again.. mentaly and pysically...
I'm not going to have him put down unless its my last resort and i have too, don't just judge me, as its killing me.. i no most of you just think i'm one of those people that don;t give a stuff but i have an animal management degree and i no all the ins and outs of how ill a pet can get etc.. i was just hoping for some advice instead of being slaughted
