Wise Old Thumper
I first posted this version of the well known Christmas song a couple of years ago..but as we have so many new members thought I'd do it again
If you know the Band Aid Song " Do They Know It's Christmas" then sing this alternative version
The Honeybunnies know they and the other buns that find themsleves in the rescues on here and get well cared for and new homes, are the lucky ones
They ask you to think of the ones who aren't so lucky this Christmas
Bun Aid
It's Christmas-time
there's no need to be afraid
At Christmas-time we eat our greens and munch our hay
And in our world of plenty we can run and jump with joy
throw your paws around the world at Christmas-time
but say a prayer
Pray for the other buns
At Christmas-time it's hard but when you're a well-loved one
There's a world outside your hutch-door
and it's a world of fear and cold
Where the water bottles empty and the food is wet and old
And the hutch is small and dirty, with the bedding all soaked through
Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you...
And there won't be homes for all the buns this Christmas-time
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life
where no grass ever grows
And no-one rubs their nose
Do they know it's Christmas-time at all?
(Here's to you) Lots of veg for everybun
(Here's to them) Never know the warmth of sun
Do they know it's Christmas time at all?
Feed the bunnies
Let them know it's Christmas-time
Find them new mummies..
Let them know it's Christmas- time........
