can you believe this!!!!?

i had a phone call this morning from the vet who took bif in yesterday....and she seemd abot of a twit then....but this...oh my.
bif has been doing heaps of soft poops heaps and heaps and suddenly yesterday when i came home hadnt eaten pelelts and was desperate to eat hay but couldnt and lay there looking so sad.....
ah right teeth..ring vets..no apointments bring her to the hspital as if its her teet they can sort her better there..so i got a taxi and sat and waited for a slot ebtween patients..and took her in.

this vet was saying her spurs are tiny compared to some...yes says i..but ask ellen and mark who both know her well...its enough to stop her eating cecals and hay. We will kep her in and give her fluids and antibx....and i will ring you tomorrow morn..oh by the way i dnt like this discharge from her nose mouth and her eyes.
she was majorly stressed and she did her usual..drool like crazy and her nose runs with it..a bit not loads..her eyes i oculdnt see running or even messy but she isnisted there was a bit of pus there...um nope a bit of sleepy dust..but she was adamant....shes got pasturella..no tests needed no treatment as the antibx does that anyway...:shock::shock: ohh i was mad now as i thought..oh my god im wrong shes right..poor bertie..poor merlin...poor mums bun..oh heck what do i tell my elderly mum:shock:

then this morning this vet rings me again and says..hes doing fine....hes eating producing normal poos and lots of soft poos..these are the ones that get stuck to his botom...um yes but only a little i say..the rest on the floor.
oh yes have you ever heard of cecetrophes..these are what these are....and procceeded to treat me as a numpty and i said hol don..i have kept buns for lamsot a decade now..i do know excess diet does this but im telling you she needs to lose weight but its a tricky process right now.....and i know bad diet causes non eating of cecals BUT she does loads like this whenever shes severely stressed or dental issues..and seeing as she oculdnt eat the hay she wanted and lay there and stunk the hous out ealrier....i knew then and there..teeth..its how it always goes with bif and always has done.

oh..says ths vet.....ill see her teeth again and maybe we can burr them down..but we wil see....

um i would if it meant getitng to see a bunvet which there are loads there..trust me to get numpty head.

i will ring ellen monday and tell her what was said...its stupid..do i know what cecetrophes are....hhmph. if i was a nebie naive bun owner id have understood but i told her out of all the buns ive had its only been dental buns with this issue..but bertie has had his fair share from pain.

i am so tired feel so awful and have to get the lounge spotless ready for delivery of other bed settee......mond between 7am and midday!!!:shock:

itll stress her out..shell smear poop where it can be trod in etc..ah but i have a plan...ill pen off the tent and stuff.....

but i know shell get worse from the sofa being delivered.....so poops worse...shed been panacured last week and a bit....and we had my mums housebun upstairs as shed been hospitalised with gi probs and then needed panacur and 48hrs care after hospitalisation.

so a mix of it all and my mum so freaked out by her account being used by card cloners.....it sent bif over the egde and her teeth are a prob....this equals bif in vets..and itll hapen again with this all i bet too...and i gotta defrost my little freezer..she hates every npise i make.


im upset cos the hopsital has lots of bun savvy vets..why do i get one that isnt..i ofund out its cos bif was to see head bunvet but this vet jumpe din and saw bif...for brownie points from what the receptionist was saying..they didnt know i was bifs mummy gossip tells lots.

so im making sure i get my bif baby back home today later....berties so miserable without her..he cant go as theres nowhere toput him now they keep saying...its so frustrating as he always used to...bonded buns etc but i think they part them for ease of treating them not sussing out which bun did that or ate that..so i guess i shouldnt be too peeved.

i just took offence at her being so condescending to me:evil:

I'd really suggest you change vets and see Claire at Emsworth....would probably cost you less in taxi fees too

awww im sorry to hear that we had the exact same problem with our vets making the wrong diagnosis and not listening to anything we said.
Its as if they think theyre higher then us just because the have a few qualifications and wont listen to our points of view!
anyway we changed vets and we feel a whole load better for it

grrr i didnt get my second call back so i rang up....hes awake and we are awaitng him to pass feces:shock: huh..oh yes we did his teeth:shock:

then i had to ring back two more times to see if shed been so i could go get her....and she hadnt..the nurse was as nice as she could be and said itd be safer for ehr to stay in overnight until they could see what shes passed..considering her tummy probs so i go to bed yet again without my little chub chub...my biffybongo.biffykins...sweetie....biffydins..bifbof....mummy (to the cats:lol

berties very low and has been eaitng and poping but laying in the tent sulking....i promised him shed be home today...

i wil give nosey rubs gem....when i get my wickle dumpling home.

now to decide how to reduce her pellet intake further without making bertie go hungry..being a frenchie:shock:

i was wondering if itd be worth trying oxbow t pellets again........if the same amount would have less calorific content so when as little as reduced amount shed lose weight easier.
but i cant have bertie losing too much weight.....
