Moving

We are in the process of selling up & moving Floppy's set up will have to be left and a new one built at the new house, we are taking his hutch and toys but thats it, is there any advice in making it as stressful as poss for him

We have just moved with our 8 rabbits, it is stressful specially when we had 8 to move, we just tried to get to our new house as quick as possible, so we could put them straight back in their hutches, they were happy once back in their hutches. Good luck with the move

i was really worried when we moved how bisc and matt would be...but they weren't even bothered! they were just excited when we got here! they obv approved of the house! :lol:

When we moved I made sure that the animals were all in the quietest part of the house so the extra noise didn't upset them and got them back in their hutches as soon as possible. If your buns are particularly prone to stress you could try serenum or rescue remedy.

We moved with 18 rabbits, 26 guinea pigs, 8 mice and 4 hamsters :shock:

Like most people have already said, we made sure they were kept away from all the noise and packing. We moved them and their enclosures to the new house first and set them all up and got them settled before moving everything else.

We did it a bit differently though as we moved into our new house 6 weeks before moving out of the old one to give us plenty of time to get them all sorted.
