Just wanted to share our good news.
I know it won't last, because the basic problem is Thumper's teeth; BUT for the 1st. time since I've had him (4years) he's mastered the art of drinking water for a whole week. I was so surprised to hear a few laps then silence, that I put the light on to see what was happening! No gulps, squeaks, sloshes, - he drank 1/2 a bowl full SILENTLY. Then he proceeded to demolish a mountain of hay!!
He's had a fantastic wee output, no chalk, masses of perfect poops, & is really happy in himself!
It makes sense that he couldn't eat hay (dry) until he could drink comfortably, & after a life time of lower molar spikes, he had to learn how to drink normally.
A big thank you to all the members of the forum who have helped us get here.
A big thank you to our vet for taking the spurs down to gum line this time.
Any one crack open a bottle with me?
