Veggie range for your bunny?

Carlotta TVB

New Kit
Hi! my lovely Carlotta is a very picky about food.. :oops:I usually feed her with greens, carrots and parsley apart from loads of hay and a bit of pellet only in the morning. I would like to expand her daily veg range, but at the same time I want to make sure she eats veggies which are good for her and don't cause any bloating or contain anything that is bad if taken in excess. For example, I used to give her kale and she loved it so much!, but when I read that it's High in either oxalates or goitrogens and may be toxic in accumulated quantities over a period of time (see http://www.rabbit.org/care/veggies.html), I got rid of it from my fridge:censored: and I know she was not happy with my decision at all!!
what's the dayly range of veggies you normally offer to your little friends??

hi

i know people on here do feed kale. :? i don't personally as my two got a dodgy tum from it.

my two have a selection of :

spring greens
savoy cabbage
broccoli
carrots
parsley
basil
thyme

i am trying to get them onto more things like herbs though. i also feed the dry herbs from hayexperts, the naturals range mainly. again, i introduced slowly and one at a time!

i think aslong as she is eating plenty of hay then she will be ok as you build up the veg.

just introduce one at a time so you know if it is ok or not. start off with very small amount and build up if no problems.
