You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Bald spot on the bum!

Young Bun
Hi Everyone,
My Buck Gus has been going through a heavy moult for the past couple of months, and its eventually reached his rump. Whilst trying to brush as much hair from his behind, I noticed he has a small bald spot just above his tail, about the size of a 10p piece. It isn't flaky and scabby at all. I'm keeping a close eye on it right now, does anyone have any idea's on whats going on?

Thanks!

Hi Hmm, I know that when buns go through a heavy moult their hair literally comes out in clumps, esspecially around the bum area, but for him to be left with a bald patch I do not know about that, could he be stressed and suffering from hair pulling? Sorry if this is a silly suggestion but I know that is relevent to birds.
