MMMEEEEPPPP! Vaccs week this week

lottielouise

Wise Old Thumper
All six of them are in for Myxi, and then three are back 2 weeks later for VHD!

Ive actually taken a holiday so I can get them all done in one day!

Im wondering wether to bite the bullet and get a taxi with all 6 rather than 2 trips on the bus. It is going to cost me £16 in taxis though

How much does it cost on the bus?

It would probably be easier in a taxi, but easiest is not always best, especially when finances come into play.

How much more is the taxi compared to the bus?
I'd probably want to get them all over with together, but it depends on how much more it would be for the taxi.

I already have a monthy bus pass so it would cost me nothing, but would take 4 hours to do. plus stressed bunnies

Where as it would take about 1 hour to do and cost around £16 in taxi's

I get 10 % discount at the vets which could cover the taxi one way

Sorry to boycott this thread but thinking about VHD. My vets in Manchester Ashleigh Vets (exotic specialists) do VHD and Myxi at the same time as they have done trials and found the drugs to be save given together. Mine have always been done like this. I take it not all vets agree on this?

Most vets prefer the 2 week space. Cherry reacted badly to her VHD, and had scabs for 3-4 weeks afterwards, so I know to be careful. had she of had both together I wouldn't know which one I have to be careful with.

I can see their point, one trip to the vets is less stressful for bun and hoomin. I might ask and see what they say when I go

We have the same this week. 5 of them to the vet for their myxo jabs, then in 2 weeks' time for VHD.
Fortunately I have a car, so it's no too bad travel wise, but it's going to hurt the pocket!
Good luck!

This is the vets I go to as well. When I'm at Uni anyway!

I'd be tempted to do Taxi tbh, less stress for the bunnies, you get it done alot quicker and I know taxi's are a form of public transport, but I'f personally prefer to use one over a bus when dealing with bunnies, quite simply due to noise and lack of people. I even refuse to take my bunnies on the train..Jay wouldn't allow it even if I wanted to either!
I've only ever had Jay drive me and the buns everywhere !

If you were local I would give you a lift. Think I would go for the taxi option, but depends how long the bus journey is.

Sorted I think!

Borrowing MIL travel cage and going to get a taxi to the vets and MIL will pick me up after work, so long as I can get the last slot of the day

:D
