Blood in litter tray

Hi,

I found some blood in my rabbits litter tray earlier today, there wasnt loads but a couple of patches. I cant find any blood anywhere else in their shed and I have checked the rabbits over and cant find anywhere obvious where it came from.

Both rabbits seem fine in themselves and are eating and pooing. Does anyone have any ideas?

I was sure it was blood but am doubting myself now. It definitely looked like it (I even picked some up to have a closer look!) but the lack of it anywhere else makes me think maybe it was urine.

What does darker urine mean?

dark urine blood like can be from plant pigment (someone quote me if I'm wrong)...observe it for few days should go back to normal

Rabbit wee changes colour depending on what Bun eats, how much they drink etc.

Carrots can cause dark orangey-brown wee as can some grasses/hay-types and fallen Autumn Leaves.
