Best Carrier to take Rabbit to vets?

hellsdarkrose

I wondered if anyone could recommend me a good carrier for taking Radish to the vets?

At the moment we have a rubbish cardboard one but I would like a nice proper carrier for her.

I wondered about a cat carrier but I thought it may be too drafty?

Thankies

You can pick up a nice carrier from places other than pet shops and are usually cheaper. Try Tesco (where i got mine) or Wilkinsons. Cat carriers are fine but will need something on the floor as it's a bit slippy

That carrier is so pretty!
I have a green and grey kitty one from p@h and put non sleep vet bedding in :)
Also tesco sell fab pink 1s for about £6

I think the ones that have openings on the top are better than the ones with the opening on the side, i have a side one but its hard to get my Jess rabbit out when at the vets as she clings on for dear life:roll: It would be much easier if i could just lift her out rather than tip her out:roll::lol:

As you will be using it for many years, it may be best investing in a top opening carrier if funds allow. It is much easier to get the buns in and out of.

Here are a couple of examples:

I have this one which I am pleased with:

If you are worried about draughts you can always cover it with a towels:wave:

I'd love to get one of those wicker cat baskets, the design looks ideal but mine would have eaten half of it by the time we got there.
