Generally speaking they harden to become sort of like large warts (except the nose one) and then turn dark brown or black and then fall off as scabs.
The nose one may need to be removed if its starts obstructing breathing or getting pus behind it (in fact they all need checking regularly in case they start to get pus or abcessy)

Yes - Suki's nose one is going dark. It's kind of over the back of her nose - She doesn't seem to be struggling to breathe, but I will get vet to check.

I seem to recall that happened with Damson (bun who had it years ago - now still with us!!). But Viola Rose was really very bad with myxi so scabs and lumps enormous,
